Tell Them when they are still alive!

In July 23th 2020, Tanzania’s lost the Former President Benjamin William Mkapa.  I knew him as the third president of United Republic of Tanzania, maybe I didn’t know much because I’m neither a diplomat nor a politician. This President did a lot for this country, Africa and the world at large, I wonder why all this information about him wasn’t open as they are now that he is gone. Soon After his death I began to hear a lot about him, so many good things that I personally had no idea of. I wish the documentary about him was created when he was still alive so that he could have read it and known it. Thank God he wrote a book My Life, My purpose before he died at least the future generation will know more about him through the book. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

It’s the nature of the world to disclose more good information about a person when he is dead, I usually wonder what will happen if all the good things that are said about people when they are gone would be shared when they are still alive. Will those word add value to a person? Or will they make more sense? I don’t know, but what I feel that is that we should create a culture where we appreciate and tell people all the good things they did or they are now doing when they are still alive.

This is the reminder to whoever is reading this to always tell all the good things, appreciation, and whatever good thing you feel about your family, relative or friend when they are still alive.

There will be a hastag soon in my Instagram account(gloriabusungu) #WambieWakiwaHai, #TellThemWhenTheyAreStillAlive, #MwambieAkiwaHai, I will post everyone who want to say a compliment to someone, appreciate someone and let the world know the good about the person when they are still alive.
